Title: All About You and the Seven Prescriptions for Leadership Success

Description:

This session is part of the NAFA Leadership Development Institute's Leadership Certificate Program.  Program requires separate registration and fee.  

Day two of our Leadership Certificate program starts with a personality assessment to help you understand how you react under stress as well as how those around you can best work with you. Most participants take this exercise back to their workplace to share with their teams to better understand the people around them. Learn how and why you react the way you do, and what your intrinsic motivators are.
 
Lead, don’t just react! The past 18 months have been difficult. We understand. There will always be challenges. Leaders know that it is helpful to understand not just the six stages of any crisis, challenge, or change but also how people react in these intense situations.  Most people remain in stages 1 through 4, because they do not know how to get to stages 5 and 6. Learn the tools to help you make the shift to leading instead of reacting during any change or challenge and walk away with proven techniques and tactics to pivot in ways that make people more effective and more resilient.
 
Next, explore the Seven Prescriptions for Success. This interactive examination of how our own leadership affects our effectiveness with the people around us is 100% confidential, can be done on your phone or computer during this session. As we delve into your results, we focus on the seven critical (and common) mistakes that oftentimes create large impacts that sabotage the effectiveness of any leader. You will explore the solutions to overcome those seven areas to become an even better leader.
The seven areas of focus include:

  1. Creating the right vision with clear and compelling goals
  2. Keeping and building trust
  3. Being an empathetic leader
  4. Practicing consistency and fairness
  5. Motivating and managing teams
  6. Generating and garnering respect in the workplace
  7. Developing confidence without arrogance

Conclude by summarizing takeaways and focusing on success and accountability for the remainder of 2021; as well as what needs to happen in 2022. Participants will use the 12-Month Business Success and Accountability Planner to create a personalized plan to move forward starting in September 2021.
